Celebrate Eight Years of Caring with BVMI
The Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI) is just days away from its 8th Anniversary Gala, but there is still time to join in the celebration. The event will be held on September 13, 2017, 5:30pm-9:30pm at the newly-renovated Indian Trail Club, 830 Franklin Lake Road, Franklin Lakes. Proceeds from this annual event enable BVMI to provide free primary medical care to Bergen County adults who work, but cannot afford health insurance.
The gala is also an opportunity to recognize individuals and organizations that play a major role in helping BVMI deliver critical healthcare to patients. Greater Bergen Community Action will receive BVMI’s Community Award, and five unsung heroes from 5 hospitals will receive the BVMI Champions Award.
“The annual gala is a coming together of BVMI’s many supporters – volunteers, donors, and friends and family,” said Dr. Arthur R. DeSimone, BVMI’s Medical Director. “Our medical and administrative volunteers proudly celebrate the services we provide to our patients, and our donors have an opportunity to see the impact of their contributions.”
The evening begins with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner and recognition of the honorees.
