The New Jersey Wind Symphony (NJWS) under the direction of Dr. Christian Wilhjelm opens their 37th season on Sunday, November 3rd with a concert featuring the trademark sound of the NJWS and Guest Soloist Leelanee Sterrett, Acting Associate Principal Horn, New York Philharmonic. Guest Conductor Darryl Bott (Director of University Bands, Rutgers University) will also take the podium. The concert program includes works by Strauss, Giroux, and Sousa. The NJWS will also honor United States military veterans and active duty military members with a selection of patriotic music. All veterans and current military members are welcome to attend at no cost. The concert will be held at West Side Presbyterian Church (6 S Monroe St, Ridgewood, NJ 07450) with a 3:00pm prelude performance by New Jersey City University Symphony of Winds and Percussion.
