Pet Walk & Fair with their best friends!
The Fair Lawn's River Road Improvement Corporation and Inserra ShopRite will be celebrating our four-legged friends at our 4th annual Pet Walk & Fair on Saturday, September 16th from 11 am to 2 pm. Stroll along the sidewalk on River Road from Berdan and Fair Lawn Avenues with your pet to meet with vendors, and neighborhood business owners, as well as other pets and their families.
Each year the event features organizations that serve animals with compassion. Among the vendors, you can expect to visit with our featured participants: Bergen County Protect and Rescue Foundation (http://bcrescues.org/
) with available pets for adoptions and learn about the programs and services of Bergen County Zoological Park, an accredited member of The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (http://www.co.bergen.nj.us/437/Bergen-County-Zoo
The Bergen County Zoological Park is an 18-acre facility at the north end of Van Saun County Park in Paramus/River Edge. From the 1960’s through the decades, the Zoo has expanded, collected and renewed commitment to visitor services and funding for conservation projects.
The Bergen County Protect and Rescue Foundation returns with their special animal viewing van and is a True No-Kill Animal Welfare Facility located in Cliffside Park. It was founded in 2012 by Eastern Bergen County’s very own Animal Control Agency, Bergen County Humane Enforcement. In the event that you do not have a pet and are interested in adding a new member to your family the BCPR can help you adopt the right one.
The River Road Corporation board also announces with appreciation the event contributors: Dance Designs, Empress Diner and Camp Bow Wow. Dance Designs (23-38 River Road) students will provide exciting dance demonstrations and live DJ in front of their studio during the event. Visit Camp Bow Wow at their booth and learn about pet services they provide at their Midland Park and Elmwood Park locations. Visit the Empress Diner table and get your pet drawn by caricature artist Dave McCoy.
