"Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the Moon. July 1969 AD. We came in peace for all mankind." -- Neil Armstrong -- Apollo 11 Commander and the first human being to walk on the Moon.

Laura Jean Checki, NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, Master Teacher, and Accessibility Specialist, will describe and explain all the amazing and exhilarating details of Apollo 11. Topics include a look into how technology developed, how the program changed our lives, what we learned exploring the moon, and what we hope to achieve as we prepare to go back – this time to stay.  She will also be showing footage from the moon landing. 

This program is free. No registration is necessary. Seats are on a first come basis.
