William Paterson Tribute to Harold Mabern Featuring Eric Alexander, Joe Farnsworth, and Mike LeDonne

February 16, 2020
04:00 PM until 06:00 PM

The sudden loss this past fall of the iconic pianist Harold Mabern was felt perhaps nowhere else more than the halls of William Paterson’s jazz program, where he taught for 39 years and had a profound effect on alumni and fellow faculty alike. Two of Mabern’s most well-known WP alumni, saxophonist Eric Alexander and drummer Joe Farnsworth are joined by new WP faculty member pianist Mike LeDonne and a host of WP alumni and faculty in this tribute to the late piano master, and a fundraiser for the newly established Harold Mabern Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Admission: General Public $15 • WP faculty, staff, alumni, and senior citizens $12 • Non-William Paterson students $8
WP students are admitted free. • All tickets are an additional $3 on show day.

Each Jazz Room concert is preceded by a “Sittin’ In” meet-the-artist session one hour prior to performance. Free to all ticket holders. Audience members have a chance to meet and interact with that day’s artist in a question-answer format.
