Holy Name Medical Center
The Holy Name Medical Center Foundation held its annual Spring Fashion Fling, a luncheon, auction and fashion show at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck. Proceeds from the event benefit the Holy Name Medical Center MS Center.
All Saints Church
All Saints Church in Leonia recently held its International Pasta Throwdown, inviting residents to vote for their favorite pasta dishes from more than a dozen local restaurants. Proceeds benefit Bergen County’s Center for Hope and Safety. Luka’s in Bogota won first place, and they were followed by Sedona Taphouse in Cliffside Park and Franco’s Metro in Fort Lee.
Hackensack University Medical Center
To demonstrate the importance of cardiovascular health and to celebrate National Heart Month, the Heart and Vascular Hospital at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center recently held a reunion to honor patients and their clinical care teams.
Academy of the Holy Angels
The Demarest-based, all-girls high school recently held its annual Angelic Evening fundraiser at Edgewood Country Club in River Vale. The celebration included tributes to Oradell residents and alumnae Patti McGovern Hill (Distinguished Alumna Award) and Colleen Corbett Staff (Legacy Award).
Hackensack Riverkeeper recently held its 2019 Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at the Bergenfield Elks. The superhero-themed party honored the organization’s volunteers of the year, Audrey Miller and Susan Golden. The Riverkeeper helps educate residents about local waterways through river clean-ups and eco-cruises.
Ambience Boutique, located at City Place in Edgewater, continued its support of local female artists with the installation of Edgewater artist Seyma Eryener Rutan’s acrylic creations. Rutan’s technique of acrylic pouring and the use of mixed media have viewers looking at her pieces from every angle appreciating the colors, textures and design.
