BergenFest FAQ

What Is BergenFest?

BergenFest is a celebration of Bergen’s finest—not just shops, but people, services, and spectacular culinary and creative talents—as voted by the readers of BERGEN magazine (formerly Bergen Health & Life). BergenFest showcases nearly 100 of this year's winners in categories including new restaurant, steakhouse, seafood restaurant, wine list,  romantic dining, salon/spa, and many more. It is a party like no other!

How do you choose BergenFest Winners?

Every year, BERGEN magazine asks its readers to choose their favorites—be it their most loved Mexican restaurant, their favorite new drinking spot, their No. 1 spa—through an online ballot. The people, places, and services that get the most votes are deemed that year's BergenFest Winners.

Don’t your advertisers automatically win?

Absolutely not. BergenFest results are entirely based on your ballots; there is no connection between advertisers and winners.

Where is BergenFest?

This year, BergenFest is being held at MetLfe Stadium, 1 MetLife Stadium Drive, East Rutherford, NJ 07073. Click here for directions.

How big is BergenFest?

We have more than 100 displays and expect more than 2,000 guests.

When is BergenFest?

Thursday, October 5, 2017. VIP entrance is at 5 p.m., and general admission starts at 6 p.m. Things wrap up at 9 p.m.

Are children allowed at BergenFest?

Yes, children are allowed at BergenFest. Children 12 years old and younger can enter without a ticket. Children 13 years old and older must have a ticket.

Because some vendors will serve alcohol at BergenFest, children will receive a different-colored wristband at the door.

What about bad weather? Is there a rain date?

Everything is either inside the venue or under a canopy or tent. The event is held rain or shine.

How much does it cost?

VIP tickets are $70 at the door, and general admission tickets are $60 at the door.

How can I purchase tickets?

Buy your BergenFest tickets here!

I purchased my tickets. How do I get them?

You may print out your tickets and bring them with you to the event, or show them on your smartphone.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are refundable up to 24 hours before the event. Remember to print out your admission ticket and bring it with you.

What about parking?

There is plenty of free parking at the venue. Please follow the electronic signs to see which lot you should park in.

How early should I get there?

Try to be early, but not too early as there is no early admittance before the doors open. Due to the size of the party (more than 2,000 people) and the fact that there is only one way into the stadium, it is difficult to accommodate everyone in an efficient manner if everyone arrives at once. We have staff members from BERGEN magazine, the venue and local law enforcement assisting to get everyone parked and into the party as quickly as possible, but please try to be patient. We promise you, it is worth the wait.

You will need to go through a metal detector and a quick bag check prior to entering the stadium.

What should I wear?

Wear nice, comfortable clothes. We won’t turn you away, but jeans and T-shirts are frowned upon.
