This historic site was once an ironproducing factory known as the Howell Works Company. Now, it’s an interactive museum where visitors can experience history through hands-on activities.

The museum’s Pine Creek Railroad is one of the oldest operating narrow gauge railway exhibits in the country. It’s dedicated to the collection, preservation and operation of historic railroad equipment.
Navesink Twin Lights, 2 Light House Rd., Highlands, 732.872.1814.
This nonoperational lighthouse has been around since 1828.
