Dr. Debra Tarantino, a colon and rectal surgeon at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston NJ, specializes in the care of complex cancers of the colon and rectum. She was the first surgeon to introduce robotic surgery for colon and rectal cancers at Cooperman where she currently capitalizes on its many surgical advantages. She brings 24 years of experience and expertise in to the management of a broad range of common colon and rectal conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, rectal prolapse, diverticulitis, and anorectal ailments. Dr. Tarantino has also devoted her career to educating the next generation of surgeons as core faculty for the Rutgers North Residency Program. She is also actively involved in surgical societies on both the national and regional level. She is currently serving as the Vice President of the NJ Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
