8 End-Of-Summer Fairs For Family Fun
These carnivals and festivals help make summer’s grand finale a big one in Bergen County.

Stop sharing “summer is over” posts on social media—the season doesn’t officially change to fall until Sept. 22. If you had a blast attending events over Labor Day Weekend, then you’ll love continuing summer fun at these upcoming, family-friendly fairs, carnivals and festivals. They’re all free to attend, and the best part is the weather won’t be as sweltering as it was during the carnivals in June and July.
Here are eight events to check out:
Multicultural Festival, Rutherford, Sept. 7, noon to 7 p.m. Join hundreds of others at the borough’s Lincoln Park for great vendors, delicious food, fun entertainment, amazing music and more.
St. Mark’s End of Summer Festival, Paramus, Sept. 7–8, hours vary. All residents can attend the annual fair, which features games, barbecue, baked goods and other family fun activities.
Elmwood Park Community Day Festival, Sept. 14, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Market Street will transform into a giant block party, complete with exhibitors, vendors, arts and crafts, rides, games and food trucks.
