Everyone is Irish this time of year, especially in Bergen County. Thousands gathered in Rutherford last weekend to enjoy the borough’s eighth annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. More than 30 organizations, nonprofits, scout troops, fire departments, civil servants and bands all took to the street and marched down Park Avenue. As it has done since the parade began, the Police Pipes and Drums of Bergen County, a non-profit service band established in 1993, walked in the parade, and it was led by the Paramus Ceremonial Honor Guard—a moment captured here on their Instagram. Participating in events like this demonstrates our professionalism and dedication to the community,” says Officer Kevin Grady of the Paramus Police Department, who is part of the honor guard. “The support we receive while marching along the parade route is truly inspiring.”
