Snow Days With Snow Dogs
Over in Denville, a Bernese Mountain Dog enjoys her favorite weather.
We know snow days can be a little divisive here in Morris and Essex—maybe they have you dreaming of the skiing down slopes and making snowmen, or maybe they have you groaning at the thought of shoveling your driveway. But even the most passionate ski enthusiast would have a hard time matching the excitement of Denville’s Lola, a 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog. When that late January snowstorm rolled over the Northeast, Lola couldn’t wait to get outside, as “mom” Brigitte Carucci captured on her Instagram. The pup rolled around and dug in the fresh powder after waiting eagerly at the door, and returned with frozen whiskers. “She’s usually a coach potato!” Carucci says. “She spent the rest of the snow day on the coach in front of the fireplace.”
