With more than three decades of experience in periodontics and implant dentistry, Dr. Eric C. Weiss brings both deep clinical expertise and a patient centered philosophy to Periodontal & Implant Associates. A third generation dentist, Dr. Weiss was exposed to dentistry at an early age through his grandfather’s home-based practice and later through his father’s career as a periodontist, an influence that helped shape his own
professional path.

Dr. Weiss earned his B.A. and D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania before completing his residency in periodontics at Temple University. He has been practicing since 1992 and is board certified in periodontology and dental implant surgery as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. His professional credentials also include Fellowship status with the International Team for Implantology, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists, as well as Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In addition, he serves as Co-Director of Periodontics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.

Founded in 2004, Periodontal & Implant Associates was established as a primarily referral based practice with a focus on collaboration, precision, and long-term patient relationships. Over time, the practice has expanded throughout Essex and Morris counties, offering patients access to a highly skilled team across multiple locations while maintaining consistent standards of care.

The practice is known for its use of advanced technology and minimally invasive techniques, including CBCT 3D imaging, fully computer guided implant surgery, laser assisted non-surgical periodontal therapy, intraoral digital scanners, and the Perioscope, an endoscopic camera that allows clinicians to see below the gum line without surgery. Patients also benefit from options such as ceramic dental implants, PRP enhanced healing, and innovative gum and bone regenerative procedures.
