The Sounds Of The Season
An Asbury Park pianist shows off some new skills—and an iconic “spring” tune.

The rustling wind, the chirping of birds, the humming of newly active bees—these are the sounds people associate with spring. But there’s another famous soundtrack to the season—an actual musical one. That’s Antonio Vivaldi’s “Spring,” which is one of those classical pieces that you’ve certainly heard, even if you don’t know you have (add that to the list with Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” and Mozart’s “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”). Connie Maynard of Asbury Park recently learned the tune on the piano, and took to Instagram to show it off.
