Liz Walter spent 10 years as a book editor helping people tell their stories. Today, as a licensed clinical social worker, she helps people understand and navigate the stories of their own lives. With a master’s degree in social work, Liz provides personalized psychotherapy offering support, compassion, and empathy as clients face life’s transitions.

An empty nest, career change, anxiety, depression, or another unexpected shift can leave people searching for a new sense of balance. Liz meets clients where they are, working together to understand their “new normal” and find a path forward. As a trusted resource, her approach is highly personal and holistic taking into account the whole person and the many factors that shape their experiences. Some of Liz’s specialties include working with cancer patients and their families (and others who are facing serious or debilitating illness), as well as with LGBTQ+ adults and their family members.

After a decade as a book editor, Liz moved into the nonprofit wellness field before returning to school to pursue social work. The transition allowed her to combine her longtime interest in people and their stories with a passion for supporting others through challenging moments. Her goal is to help each person move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and hope for the chapters ahead.
