If you’re a snow lover, you don’t care what Punxsutawney Phil predicts—you want more snow. That’s especially true for sleigh riders and snow tubers, who during this time of year can’t get enough of the fluffy white stuff. After the next snowfall, be sure to check out some of the following neighborhood sledding hot spots and fall in love with winter.
Atlantic Highlands Elementary School— Classes might be canceled, but the school and its “slopes” are the destination when winter weather hits. The hill here is steep, making it the ideal place for thrill seekers.
Holmdel Park—Supervised sledding is available when two or more inches of snow cover the great hill. An added bonus: hot chocolate is available at the shelter building.
Tower Hill, Red Bank—Suffering from cabin fever? Bring the entire family to this spot, a popular hangout for families for many generations. It’s a big hit with the smaller sleigh riders.
