Become A Donor

With a number of blood donation centers and drives around Monmouth County, it’s easy to help those in need of a life-saving transfusion. Hospitals are looking for suitable donors of all blood types—all you have to do is set up an appointment—so in the spirit of American Heart Month, head to one of these places:

American Red Cross

You can find out about blood drives in your area on the center’s website and even learn how to host your own. Call your local American Red Cross with any and all questions.

Shrewsbury Main Donor Center Central

Jersey Blood Center (CJBC) has two donation centers in Monmouth County, where residents can go to give blood, red blood cells, plasma and platelets. Donations from CJBC’s locations go to help treat premature babies, trauma victims and cancer patients.

Howell Donor Center

CJBC’s second location is off of Rte. 9 in Howell, and residents can donate blood and plasma there. The blood center’s website has information on monthly blood drives and how interested locals can host their own.
