Cheers to 15 Years
Have you tried the best burgers in town?

Best burgers? Check. The champion of comfort food? Another check. The top food truck? That too. So what’s the secret behind Jonnie G’s Food Truck—a triple winner in last year’s Monmouth Health & Life “Best of 2017” readers’ poll—and its 15 years of pleasing hungry diners? “It’s a really great diverse menu—that’s why it’s been successful,” says Rose Grossman, whose husband, Jon, is the Jonnie G. “Our No. 1 priority is cleanliness, and we do not skimp on quality at all.”

The Ocean Township couple sets up its mobile restaurant at parties, swim meets, university festivals—you name it. They’re also popular at charity and fundraising programs throughout Monmouth County, allowing event hosts to spend more time with guests instead of focusing on food prep and cleanup. (Jonnie G’s supplies everything from the food—burgers, pulled pork, chicken, fries and more—to paper products and condiments, then finishes with trash removal.) Sorry, fans, Rose and Jon (pictured with news reporter Alyse Barker) don’t drive around in their restaurant 24/7. Rose works as a paralegal, and Jon is a science teacher at Central Regional Middle School in Bayville as well as a varsity golf coach at the high school.
