Color Glen Ridge

Once solely found in the domain of youngsters, coloring books, colored pencils and crayons have been elevated from child’s play to grown-up fun. The burgeoning adult coloring craze has hit towns in Morris and Essex counties—clubs and groups meet regularly at libraries and centers.

The Friends of the Glen Ridge Library has jumped on the trend, creating Color Glen Ridge, an adult coloring book featuring residents’ photos-turned-drawings. The pages contain dozens of images from the community, including homes, parks, schools, churches and other familiar locations.

Copies are $10 each, with proceeds from each sale supporting the Friends of the Glen Ridge Library. Books are available at the Glen Ridge Public Library or at glenridgelibrary.org/friends.
