THE RECIPIENT OF MANY AWARDS, Dr. George Schmidt has practiced in the Hanover Township area for twenty years. Aft er graduating Summa Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dr. Schmidt completed his dental degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. During his time there, he was frequently recognized for his academic performance and patient care. Additionally, Dr. Schmidt was welcomed into the OKU Dental Society, a prestigious organization admitting only those who meet the strictest requirements for admission.
Dr. Schmidt completed a three year program in the surgical placement of dental implants at the NYU College of Dentistry. He remained there for an additional year as a clinical associate. While at NYU, Dr. Schmidt continued his studies with attention to advanced bone-grafting techniques and computer-guided implant surgery.
With fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Implant Association and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics, having trained in the administration of Botox® and dermal fillers. A frequent lecturer on the topics of Dental Implantology and Esthetic Dentistry, Dr. Schmidt is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and is an att ending dentist at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
The Advanced Dental Center of Cedar Knolls is a family aff air. Dr. Schmidt’s son, Brandon K. Schmidt, D.M.D. is an integral part of the practice.
