Get the Scoop
In honor of National Ice Cream Month in July, we present a Princeton “ice cream crawl.”

Grab a few friends, slip on some comfortable shoes and join us on a tasting tour of the top three spots in this university town. Start at Halo Pub (9 Hulfish St., 609.921.1710), a homey, unpretentious shop serving all 48 flavors of all-natural Halo Farm ice cream. Next stop: Thomas Sweet (183 Nassau St., 609.683.8720), where it’s all about the “blend-ins”—from the standard sprinkles to brownie bites, York Peppermint Patties and Butterfingers. From there, head to The Bent Spoon (35 Palmer Square West, 609.924.2368), the most “artisanal” of the trio. Here, you can cap off your crawl with a scoop of cardamom ginger, chocolate habanero or strawberry mascarpone—and then jog back to your car!
