Top doctors Dr. Hesham Abdelfattah And Dr. Patrick Buckley, are two of New Jersey’s leading orthopaedic surgeons at University Orthopaedic Associates. Result-driven and leading with compassion, the teams in the Wall and Morganville offices strive to understand the unique needs of each patient. “Myself, Dr. Buckley, and our partners listen to our patients’ stories and concerns, which is really important in helping them achieve their goals and return to their normal lives,” says Dr. Abdelfattah. University Orthopaedic Associates provides the most advanced operative and non-operative techniques—also offering on-site imaging and on-site physical and occupational therapy.

Dr. Abdelfattah is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with additional subspecialty certification in hand and upper extremity surgery. Fellowship-trained and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Abdelfattah treats general orthopaedic trauma but primarily focuses on shoulders to hands. He treats individuals of all ages—from small children with fractured wrists to elderly adults with bad injuries from falls—and believes in a collaborative physician-patient approach to address surgical and non-surgical conditions.

Dr. Buckley is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, who is subspecialty certified in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Buckley has advanced training in the treatment of knee, shoulder, and hip injuries. He is the team physician for Princeton University and Neptune High School. Dr. Buckley remains an active US Olympic Ski and Snowboard physician pool member. “It’s a very stressful time when you have an injury,” says Dr. Buckley. “It’s not only the pain but the unknown of how you’re going to rehab the injury and get back to where you were. You want to go to a place that has gotten athletes through the recovery process.” University Orthopaedic Associates is a private, academically affiliated practice with an orthopaedic residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
