Leonia Goes Broadway
Anything one sister can do, the other can do better—and this “sibling rivalry” performance made New Year’s Eve one to remember.

One need not turn on the TV for a rockin’ New Year’s Eve, at least not in the Grabois home. Rather than watch the ball drop on screen, Larissa P. Grabois and her sister, Victoria, put on their own New Year’s Eve show in their Leonia living room. In what Larissa calls “a little impromptu taste of ‘sibling- rivalry’ home-style performance,” she and Victoria did their own rendition of “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better,” from the musical Annie Get Your Gun. “It gave a little Jewish spirit to our family’s closeknit New Year’s Eve gathering, on the last night of Hanukkah!” Larissa says. Both sisters are lifelong performers, and Larissa holds a degree in music therapy from Montclair State University and teaches piano and adaptive music lessons. She adds that “the holiday season is a wonderful reminder to slow down and appreciate the connections we have with one another.”
