What’s in a name? For Andrew Evilsizor, it’s the source of his barbershop’s edgy moniker. As children, Andrew and his three brothers were dubbed “evil” due to their unique last name, and the nickname stuck into adulthood. When added to the popular haircutting technique “fade,” it creates the name of Evilsizor’s business venture, “Evil Fades.”

Evilsizor has owned and operated his Millstone location since 2011, and recently decided to bring the “true gentlemen’s club” experience to Red Bank. The shop offers simple cuts and facial hair shape-ups, but it’s known for freestyle designs done with a straight razor. Patrons can request anything from logos to sports team insignias, which Evilsizor frequently features on his Instagram. Evil Fades offers father-son haircut specials and discounts to law-enforcement officials on Wednesdays—undoubtedly the act of a “true gentleman.”
