Standing in the Hall of Fame

The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation recently inducted the first class of honorees into its Business Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony was held at the Ryland Inn on Sept. 14 and celebrated past and present Hunterdon locals who have made a difference in their community. Here is the list of winners and their designated honors:

Pioneer Award: Custom Alloy, global provider of time-critical manufacturing services

Distinguished Leaders: Peter G. Verniero, former associate justice of the state Supreme Court and attorney general, and the Creter family, owners and operators of the Flemington Granite and Architectural Supply

Contemporary Award: ShopRite of Hunterdon County

Essence of Hunterdon: The Large family, influential lawyers, senators and judges in the county, and the Red Mill, a historic Clinton landmark
