Summer Vibes
A local band plays a breezy backyard show to kick off the season.
The key ingredient to a great summer get-together? Fantastic music. That’s what Short Hills- and South Orange-based band Whiskey & Sugar (singers Matt Stone and Jess Frank here joined by Paul Graves, Brian Nashel, Katie Rumley, Mike Rieckert and Kory Stanbury) brought to Beckfest—a backyard party hosted by Short Hills resident David Becker. Thanks to the sun and the songs, the party was filled with good vibes from start to finish. The band captured and posted one song of their set, Lenny Kravitz’s “Always on the Run,” on their Instagram. “Our mission is to share the joy of music with friends and fans, blending styles into something exciting and fresh while introducing listeners to songs we love,” says Frank. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate summer!
