A young boarder is just two sessions into surfing lessons, but he’s already riding Manasquan waves like a veteran.
The tide is high and he’s holding on! Thirteen-year-old surfer Max Pol is doing more than just holding on—he’s been making big strides along the Manasquan shoreline, riding the waves like he’s a longtime pro. The truth, however, is that he only had a couple of surfing lessons with the Bulkhead Board Club before he fell in love. “Two lessons and he’s hooked,” says mother Amber Pol, who posted this video of Max showing off his newfound skills and love for the sport. The encouraging and dedicated lessons really helped, Pol adds. “What I liked best was that it was a small group, no more than three or four boys at a time,” she says. We can’t wait to see Max’s progress at the end of the season!
