Here's a message to men who don’t like shopping at the mall: You don’t have to go there. “Guys like low-pressure clothes shopping with great tailoring and service,” says Ralph Lauretta of Sal Lauretta for Men. If anyone knows how men shop, it’s Ralph. As a toddler he learned to walk in the dry cleaner his family opened in Bergen County as an extension of his grandfather’s Sicilianbased tailoring business. There, Ralph witnessed the family’s custom clothing business unfold as they opened a men’s clothing store next door to handle the growth. Over four decades later, Ralph now manages the business and can be found donning one of Sal Lauretta’s beautifully tailored custom top-of-the-line jackets or a pair of his many Air Force 1 sneakers on more casual days. As Ralph says, “Customers come back for two reasons: service and tailoring. Did I also mention you don’t have to go to the mall to find our amazing European fashions?”
