Restoring a smile is about far more than dentistry. It’s about rebuilding confidence, function, and quality of life – a philosophy that has guided Dr. Joseph DiFazio’s work for more than 40 years. A board-certified prosthodontist and one of roughly 350 maxillofacial prosthodontists worldwide, Dr. DiFazio is the only Fellow of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and also President of the Academy, and the only Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Born and raised in Monmouth County, Dr. DiFazio graduated with honors from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine before serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps at Parris Island, South Carolina. He continued his training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York before returning home to establish his practice and join the clinical faculty at Rutgers where he taught graduate prosthodontics.

A pioneer in local implant dentistry, Dr. DiFazio performed Monmouth County’s first dental implant in 1984. He remains the lead in providing advanced restorative and prosthetic care including implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and specialized treatment for patients with facial differences resulting from medical conditions, trauma, or congenital and developmental defects.
