In 2009, the beloved historic landmark was reopened under the proprietorship of Gordon and Laurie Hamm, longtime Ho-Ho-Kus residents. The Hamms—known as “The Innkeepers”—undertook a seven-month, $1.5 million renovation, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance with updated classic American cuisine—from casual, wellexecuted tavern fare to creative and stylish lunch and dinner menus. All dishes feature local, seasonal ingredients designed to appeal to sophisticated palates as well as families with young kids. A winner of Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence and (201) Magazine’s “Best of Bergen,” the Inn celebrates the glory of the seasons and showcases themed events several nights a week. Enjoy live music on the beautiful bluestone patio, eat in one of the Inn’s four handsome dining rooms or relax in one of the two cozy bars, Make your next special occasion, Girls’ or Guy’s Night Out, romantic evening or family outing one to remember.
