For more than 35 years, AJ’s Deli & Catering has served the Shrewsbury community. Since taking ownership in February, the Palomino family has preserved that tradition while introducing a broader menu, dine-in service, and an expanded vision for the future. With experience in the restaurant industry dating back to 2005, the family brings culinary knowledge and high standards to every dish. Drawing on that background, including owning Taqueria Maria’s of Monroe, AJ’s offers far more than traditional deli fare. The menu combines Italian, Mexican, American, Mediterranean, and Greek influences, with signature soups, empanadas, burritos, gyros, chicken Francese, cold cuts, burgers, and daily specials.

A standout is AJ’s complete lunch menu, available Monday through Saturday. Unlike many à la carte options, these satisfying meals include accompaniments such as soup, salad, fries, coleslaw, or dessert. Customers can dine in, order takeout or delivery, earn rewards through online ordering, and use DoorDash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats. AJ’s also provides home, corporate, and on-site catering for events of up to 500 guests while accommodating gluten-free and other dietary requests. AJ’s is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
