There is nothing cookie-cutter about Chocolate Carousel—their custom gourmet desserts are perfect for celebrating just about any occasion. Chocolate Carousel’s dream team consists of nearly 30 culinary-trained pastry chefs, sous chefs, sculptors, artists, and admins. The shoppe explores new and unique desserts while preserving popular bakery classics—Homemade Butter Cookies, Layer Cakes, Stuffed Cupcakes, Cake Pops, and Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels, to name a few.
Hosting monthly events to showcase the shop’s creativity, Chocolate Carousel is deeply committed to engaging its local community. “We want to service our neighbors,” says Lisa Porada. “They really supported us through COVID when weddings and events were prohibited and that’s a huge part of our business.” Kids Workshops, Adult decorating classes, and Cake Slice Saturday are a few events that attract new and familiar faces. Held on the third Saturday of every month, Cake Slice Saturday is an open house between 11 am and 2 pm that welcomes local and out-of-state visitors—out-of-towners traveling from as far as New York and Boston and Vermont. “This is such a fun day for our staff and customers to enjoy cake and socialize with each other. It’s literally a party every month,” says Lisa.
