Dr. Michael Rose, Chief Of The Division Of Plastic Surgery At Jersey Shore University Medical Center, sees how honesty and safe practices bring transformative cosmetic surgery results.

“I think patients pick up if you are just telling them what they want to hear. They like that I am straightforward with them about what is and is not feasible to accomplish,” says Dr. Rose. “I expect the same from the patients. If everyone is on the same page, you end up with a much better outcome every single time.”

Along with being highly skilled in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, Dr. Rose specializes in reconstructive surgery following cancer or deforming accidents. He specializes in breast reduction and is skilled in complex nerve decompression surgery for people who suffer from all forms of neuropathy. Dr. Rose is one of a select group of plastic surgeons who is specifically trained in the technique.

Double-board certified in plastic surgery and general surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, respectively, Dr. Rose listens to his patients and designs a plan that meets the person’s specific individual needs. Patient Christina A. says: “Dr. Rose’s bedside manner was fantastic and my results exceeded my expectations. The staff at the surgery center was wonderful as well. I’m looking forward to having another surgery in the future with Dr. Rose.”

Dr. Rose completed a five-year general surgery residency at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital while doing a one-year fellowship in the plastic surgery laboratories at New York University Medical Center. He finished his training with a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Emory University, publishing research on the safety of cosmetic surgery. Dr. Rose says: “It’s critically important that if you are going to do elective surgery, it has to be safe. If the surgical center is properly certified, the surgeon follows appropriate safety guidelines, and the most up to date equipment is used, then elective surgery is amazingly safe.”

Dr. Rose, along with his colleagues at The Plastic Surgery Center, are proud to provide patients with safe and effective surgical procedures and the aesthetic outcomes they desire.”
