A little snow couldn’t keep the great outdoors away from Jerwin Veda, who traded the comfort of his couch for the fresh air of the Lenape Trail in Millburn. Last month, Veda took to the snowy paths to capture the beauty of winter in the woods, using a recreational drone to capture some shots—which he posted on Instagram. Veda admits, however, that it wasn’t easy. “Hiking in the snow without snowshoes was tough, but manageable,” he says. “It took about an hour to an hour and a half to get to Hemlock Falls. But it was fun because I wanted to capture a winter wonderland, and the area was beautiful. I absolutely used to hate snow, but I noted just how beautiful some of the local roads looked with the trees covered in snow, and there seemed to be a calm stillness. I guess it started to grow on me!”
