What's New in Morris County

Things are looking up for healthy eaters this spring. They have both a new restaurant and a new supermarket to check out.
Whats New In Morris

After much anticipation, The Salad House of Morristown is now open at 40 Market Street. The eatery is true to its motto of “Eat well to live well,” with a menu filled with colorful salads as well as specialty sandwiches, wraps, smoothies and more. Customers can even create their own salads or wraps and, if they want, can choose to keep their creation on file at the restaurant so they can call ahead and order it for next time.

Residents are also welcoming Whole Foods Market to Washington Street in Morristown. In a 20,000-square-foot building that was previously an A&P, the store officially opens its doors on April 22 after a “bread-breaking ceremony,” which is the company’s equivalent to a ribbon cutting. That day, shoppers will be treated to tastings throughout the store and giveaways. The new store will be the chain’s second Morris County location, joining one in Madison. (Essex County boasts Whole Foods stores in Montclair, Millburn and West Orange.)
