The countdown to Valentine’s Day is on, and while there’s still time to get cards and candy, as well as shop for gifts and red garb, you shouldn’t put off reserving a table for Feb. 14 dinner.

If you’re not preparing a romantic dinner for you and your sweetheart at home, Bergen County’s slew of restaurants will cater to couples on V-Day. There are tried-and-true destinations like Saddle River Inn, Café Matisse in Rutherford and Ivy Inn in Hasbrouck Heights, but below are other eateries that also come up big with delicious meals and mood-setting ambience. Be sure to check out one of these options on the big day:

  • The Brick House, 179 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, 201.848.1211. Lunch and dinner specials will be available all day at this popular steakhouse.
  • Café Panache, 130 E. Main St., Ramsey, 201.934.0030. The dinner menu features French-inspired à la carte selections that will please any palate.
