There are two kinds of people who celebrate Thanksgiving: the ones who go all out as hosts and prep the turkey, all the side dishes and desserts, and the ones who feast at their favorite restaurants. While both personality types will be surrounded by family and friends, only the latter will be free of clean-up duties after dinner.

Bergen County has a bevy of top-tier restaurants, many of which are open on Thanksgiving and ready to feed you and your family. No shopping, prepping or cooking required—all you need to do is call or make a reservation online, put on your best stretchy pants and show up.

Here are a few Bergen spots to consider for your feast. Just click the links to view their full menus and more details.

  • Biagio’s, Paramus. A minimum of six guests per party can enjoy an a la carte Thanksgiving Day menu at Biagio’s, which features a whole turkey carved at the table and family-style sides and desserts. $55+ per person.
  • Brasserie Memere, Closter. This French-inspired restaurant is offering a three-course meal featuring roasted turkey, salmon, duck or beef tenderloin as the entrée. They also offer a “take home turkey feast” if you’d rather eat at home. $72 per person.

  • The Capital Grille, Paramus. Make your reservations at this upscale eatery, which will be serving slow-roasted turkey with brioche stuffing, green beans and cranberry-pear chutney to each diner, while mashed and pecan-crusted sweet potatoes will be available for the entire table. Not into turkey? You can also order from the restaurant’s full dinner menu. $50 per person, $20 for children.
