15 Bergen Parks To Peep Fall Foliage
You need not travel far to see Mother Nature’s amazing autumn colors and views.

Nothing says fall in the Northeast like the changing leaves, and no month captures the majesty of fall color like October. You’re probably heading out to Halloween events and trying out seasonal recipes, but autumn isn’t really in full swing until you do some leaf peeping. According to the New Jersey Forest Service, which tracks the changing leaves, we are approaching peak season here in Bergen.
That means you don’t need to leave (or leaf, if you’ll forgive the pun) the county to take in fantastic views. Here are a few local spots where you can see the season in all its glory, close to home.
- Borg’s Woods, Hackensack
- Celery Farm, Allendale
- Closter Nature Center, Closter
- Cooper’s Pond, Bergenfield

- Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, Englewood
- G. Thomas Donch Nature Preserve, Franklin Lakes
