5 Fun Events For Presidents’ Day Weekend
Not going away for the three-day weekend? There’s plenty to see and do right here in Bergen County.

While you were prepping for Valentine’s Day and booking your family’s next summer vacation, you might’ve forgotten to solidify plans for Presidents’ Day Weekend. But don’t fret! Whether the three-day weekend slipped your mind or you’re still looking for something to do, there’s plenty happening in and around Bergen County to keep everyone amused and entertained.
Below are five events to you and your crew can check out:
- Acrobats, stunt performers, magicians and more will entertain all ages at Flip Circus, which begins its run at Garden State Plaza in Paramus on Feb. 16. Note that shows contain flashing lights that may affect viewers with sensitivities. Visit their website for showtimes and ticket information.
- The Lunar New Year Celebration continues at the Ramsey Library on Feb. 17. The event, suitable for all ages, features cultural performances, arts and crafts, games, refreshments and more. Visit the library’s website for schedules and more details.
- Enjoy a festive concert featuring Grammy-nominated salsa artist Jerry Rivera on Feb. 17 at bergenPAC in Englewood. The Puerto Rico-born star will perform hits like “Amores Como El Nuestro,” “Que Hay de Malo,” “Cuenta Conmigo” and more. Check the link for tickets and more information.
- Outdoor hockey returns to New Jersey, and it’s not at the neighborhood pond. The NHL Stadium Series heads to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford with the New Jersey Devils hosting the Philadelphia Flyers on Feb. 17. Then on Feb. 18, the New York Rangers will take on the New York Islanders. Tickets are still available for both games. Check out the MetLife Stadium website for times and details.
- Celebrate the style and beats of hip-hop music at Hip Hop Beyond 50, an event on Feb. 18 at the Hackensack Performing Arts Center filled with workshops, panels, performances and more. Featuring Master Gee of the Sugar Hill Gang, the program will benefit the Center for Food Action and Black Men’s Alliance at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
