8 Ways To Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Adding a little pink to your fall ’fit—whether you’re attending a fundraiser walk or simply going out on the town—will help promote a worthy cause.

We love traditional fall colors and leaves that turn brilliant shades of red, yellow, orange and brown—but let’s not forget about pink this month. Though it was all the rage during summer, we’re not necessarily talking about Barbiecore. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the time of year when we educate ourselves and one another about the disease while supporting patients, survivors and their families.
One of the easiest ways to show your support is to wear a pink ribbon throughout the month. The National Breast Cancer Foundation adopted the symbol in 1992 to represent hope and strength for those facing breast cancer, as focus groups believe the color promotes comfort and healing. The pink campaign has since expanded to entire outfits, and many who attend breast cancer awareness walks and fundraisers often dress head-to-toe in the bright hue.
