Whether you’re into history, nature or just regular ol’ fall fun, there’s something for everyone this month in Bergen.

October was packed with trunk or treats, parades, costume parties and pumpkin picking excursions, but it’s not slowing down in November. In the lead-up to Thanksgiving and the December holidays, Bergen County remains busy with lots of fun, family-friendly events.

And if you’re having a hard time narrowing down the choices (honestly, there’s only so many hours in a day!), let us assist. Here, we categorize a few November highlights based on your interests. If you love fall family fun…
Check out the Bergen Town Center Fall Festival, Nov. 5 from noon to 5 p.m. Attractions include food trucks, a football fan zone, a beer garden and kids’ activities such as pumpkin painting and a bubble show. It’s all happening in the Kohl’s parking lot. Admission: Family tickets (two adults and up to three children) are $18 (pre-booked) and $20 at door; individual tickets are $5.

If you’re a nature person…
Beginners and experts alike will enjoy the Bergen County Audubon Society (BCAS) Nature Walk on Nov. 12 at Teaneck Creek Conservancy. BCAS president Don Torino will lead participants as you explore the migrations in our area during the fall season. Bonus: You’ll get a close-up glimpse at the fall foliage too. The walk is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Admission: Free, but registration is recommended, and donations are welcome.

If you’re a theater lover…
Enjoy a staged reading of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors featuring “updated jokes and wordplay,” performed by students at Ramapo College. The event is at Adler Theater in Mahwah on Nov. 15 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Admission: Free, but advanced registration is required.

If you’re a gamer…
Play bingo for a cause when The French American Academy, a bilingual, not-for-profit school, hosts a Bingo Night fundraiser at Englewood Field Club. On Nov. 17 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., join your friends and neighbors for a game of bingo playing, with great prizes and more. Admission: Pricing starts at $30.

If you’re a history buff…
Join Generals Washington and Greene in a reenactment of the patriots’ Retreat to Victory during the Revolutionary War at Historic New Bridge Landing in River Edge on Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In between reenactments, you can enjoy a tour of life in eighteenth century Bergen County, visit the barn and the out-kitchen, check out a horse demonstration or shop the gift shop for holiday finds. Admission: Adult tickets are $10 for Bergen County Historical Society members, $15 for non-members, and school age children are free.

If you’re the crafty type…
Shop for yourself and your family and friends at the Fall Boutique 2023 at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly. Dozens of local and national vendors will be on-site at the Nov. 19 event selling home-made goodies, including edible treats, winter accessories, holiday knick-knacks and more. Shop for as long as you want from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission: Free.

If you’re ready for the holidays…
Get into the spirit of the season with WinterFest in Ridgewood, Saturday, Nov. 25 at Van Neste Square. Music, ice sculptures, photos with Santa and hot chocolate are among the festivities. Admission: Free.
