In just a few weeks, many of us will be braving the madness at our malls’ parking lots and standing in long lines at big box stores. It’s holiday shopping in Bergen County, a rite of passage that either causes nightmares or festive joy.
But before you head to one of our many malls and shopping plazas with your holiday gift lists, consider stopping first at a local craft show to browse handmade goods from dozens of vendors or walk along your town’s main street and visit a mom-and-pop store. In fact, Small Business Saturday, Nov. 25, is the perfect time to pop into a local shop and support neighborhood businesses.
