Mother-Daughter Dance
A small moment of joy captures a lifetime of love for a River Vale family.
Have you ever danced with your mother in the kitchen? Shruthi Thyagarajan visited her parents in River Vale over the weekend and, while there, listened to Hindi music with her mother, Radhika. Enjoying the moment and the tunes, Radhika started to dance, and her daughter soon jumped in on the fun. The moment was captured by Shruthi’s brother, and both women leaned into the silliness when they realized they were being recorded. Shruthi later posted the video on Instagram for Mother’s Day. “My mom is the best at staying present and finding the joys in the world,” says Shruthi. The video ends with another moment of joy: Shruthi’s father walks in and, confused, remarks “Huh?” as mother and daughter break into laughter.
