No Pool? No Problem!

When the temperature is as hot as it’s been the past few weeks, you may think the only way to be both outside and comfortable is to go for a dip in a pool. But, as Ariella Burnett discovered, it’s not the only way. She and her kids headed over to the backyard of long-time friends Jess and John D’Eredita in River Vale, as their town doesn’t have a municipal pool. “Jess and I met 20 years ago while working at I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt in Westwood, and we have been best friends ever since,” says Burnett. While the kids cooled off from the 90-degree heat in an inflatable water slide, kiddie pool and water table, the adults had a chance to chat and catch up. “John threw some burgers and hot dogs on the grill,” says Burnett. “We had such a nice time.”
