Keeping It Cool

This Teaneck Labrador enjoys a day in the water all to herself.

So maybe you missed National Hot Dog Day last month—can we interest you in a cool dog instead? Rosie, a black Labrador retriever, and owner Dara Zaer of Teaneck headed over to the Saddle River near the Ridgewood Duck Pond to keep cool during the recent heat wave. Rosie got to let loose and run through the water, which Zaer captured and posted to her Instagram. “Seeing Rosie be such a free spirit really stood out to me,” says Zaer. “This area of the river has really become ‘her’ spot. It’s place to just be who she is.” She adds: “It’s nice to have place like this be where I can take her.”
