Bergen’s Next Ninja Warrior
A Fort Lee father takes a run at the warped wall to encourage his child—and rockets straight to the top.
The next Karate Kid he is not, but this ninja warrior might be ready for the national stage. Roger An of Fort Lee was attending a birthday party with his child at The Grit Ninja in Paramus when he noticed the kids hesitating at the sight of the warped wall. “We dads wanted to encourage the kids to try it, and we did the shortest one on a lark,” explains An. Dressed in jeans and sneakers, he was able to propel himself to the very top, and the moment was captured and posted to his Instagram. “I’ve never done that before,” An says. “It was very fun to try after watching the obstacle on American Ninja Warrior. It made me want to attempt the taller ones!”
