Turning Back Time

In Paramus, a whole family enjoyed a day of fun—and Dad relived his childhood.

Whether you’re 7-years-old or 70, we’re all just kids at heart. During a recent visit to Paramus, James Alvia discovered what wakes his inner child: inflatables and giant slides. “We were celebrating my children’s best friend’s birthday at Kids Empire,” says Alvia, “and they invited all the guests to join the fun, including parents. We were invited to play with the kids in the playrooms and on the slides.” Some of the excitement was captured in this photo, which shows Alvia rocketing down that slide next to his daughters, 9-year-old Emily and 7-year-old Alyssa. “We adults really turned into kids for a little bit,” says Alvia.
