bergenPAC’s Spring Season Is In Full Bloom

An exciting variety of stars are set to take the Taub Stage in the coming weeks.

Bergen residents can experience many unique musical performances at bergenPAC this spring.

On April 11, Todd Rundgren headlines a tribute to songwriting icon Burt Bacharach in What the World Needs Now. Burt Bacharach is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential figures of 20th-century popular music. Over 1,000 artists have recorded Bacharach songs, including songs like “The Look of Love,” “What The World Needs Now,” “Walk On By,” “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” and “Do You Know The Way To San Jose.”

On April 12, Deep Purple’s and Rainbow’s legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and his group Blackmore’s Night performs. Blackmore, and award-winning vocalist Candice Night have created a new genre of music for all ages, inspired by melodies of The Renaissance period.  They call it renaissance/folk/rock. The group has earned many awards including best album of the year.

Grammy Award-winning pianist Bruce Hornsby will be joined by yMusic, the genre-leading contemporary classical ensemble, on May 1 for a performance showcasing new collaborative compositions from their critically acclaimed album Deep Sea Vents, plus other favorites from Hornsby’s illustrious catalog.

Thee Phantom & the Illharmonic Orchestra will bring together strings, horns and woodwinds with a party-rocking DJ, a soul-songstress and a rapper, for an incredible musical experience on May 17.

Get ready to laugh with David Spade (Saturday Night Live, Tommy Boy and Grown Ups) on April 24, Nick Swardson (Reno 911 and Bucky Larson) on April 25, and every teacher’s favorite funny man Eddie B. on May 31.

Friends Brothers

Friends of the Brothers + Special Guest Jaimoe

Rock out on April 19 when The Friends of the Brothers and special guest Jaimoe celebrate The Allman Brothers Band. The Friends of the Brothers is a celebration of the music of the Allman Brothers Band, with members closely associated with the original band and continuing the brotherhood with passion, committed to the ideals of every night being special and unique. Since April 2024, the band has performed regularly with Jaimoe, the sole surviving original member of the Allman Brothers Band.

There are also performances for all pop lovers. Straight from Las Vegas, Jalles Franca performs MJ Live: A Michael Jackson Tribute Concert on June 6. The Pop 2000 Tour returns on June 20 with Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC and Tenafly native Lea Michele, star of TV’s Glee and Broadway’s Funny Girl will perform a second show on June 24, in addition to her already sold-out show earlier this spring.
