Take To The Sky
In Paramus, a son finally joins his father in the air...kind of.

Most dads leave big shoes to fill, but yours probably didn’t hand over a pair with the words “professional skydiver” on them. But that’s the legacy of John Dalessio Sr., who started skydiving in the 1970s and has logged more than 2,200 jumps with multiple state and world records, says his son, also named John Dalessio. “[My dad] has been asking me to try it for years,” the younger Dalessio says. “But I hate heights. That’s probably why I’ve been dragging my feet.” He finally got to share that moment with his father, no plane required, at iFLY Indoor Skydiving in Paramus. Dalessio captured the moment, including a video of the two them rocketing off the floor, on his Instagram. “It was great because he was there and there’s no one else I would have gone with,” says Dalessio. “Maybe, one day, I’ll try a real plane.”
