The only thing better than a girls’ night? A girls’ night that does you some good. You can still pick up tickets for the annual BERGEN Women’s Health Experience. On Wednesday, April 30, head over to The Terrace at Biagio’s in Paramus from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a buffet dinner and cash bar, raffles, prizes and fantastic speakers from Valley Health SystemBergen New Bridge Medical Center and Christian Health, all of them tailored to give you the best insights to your health as possible. The presentations will be moderated by BERGEN Editor in Chief Rita Guarna.

The evening also includes exhibits from dozens of health, wellness and beauty professionals from all over the county. This is a great opportunity to talk to experts face-to-face. Here are some of the booths you can visit:

  • ENT and Allergy Associates. With locations in Hackensack and Paramus, this is the county’s largest ear, nose and throat, allergy and audiology practice. Whether you’re suffering from seasonal allergies or a long-term cough, the practitioners here can help you find an answer and a solution.
  • Kayal Orthopaedic Center, PC. These experts can guide you to a more pain-free life, no matter what joint aches. Knee and hip surgeries, treating spinal disorders and sports medicine are only three of dozens of specialties and services offered.
  • Skin & Laser Center of NJ. This Ramsey dermatologist offers both medical services for easing acne and treating skin cancer and cosmetic services such as Botox, chemical peels and facials.
  • The Fountain Spa. Pampering and wellness are the most important thing at this spa in Hackensack and Ramsey, where you’ll find everything from extensive massage therapy options to full-day packages that include both aromatherapy and facials.

You also can meet author Danielle Sherman-Lazar, a mental health advocate who writes extensively on topics of motherhood and childcare. She will be discussing her new book, Mothers Are Made: How One Mom Overcame Perfectionism, Self-Doubt, Loneliness, and Anxiety and Became a Better and Happier Parent, which strives to “help moms realize that they can handle crises as they arise—large or small.” Limited copies of the book will be available.

Tickets are $45 if purchased online before the event. If any remain, tickets will be $55 at the door.
